In addition to linking mobile number and bank accounts, it has now been mandatory to link the insurance policy with the Aadhaar Card. It has been given time until December 31. But in view of this necessary step, some people have started to fool people.
Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has issued an information on this website in this regard. In this, it has said how fraud is happening in the name of linking the LIC policy with Aadhaar Card.
A similar fraud case has been highlighted on the company’s website. It has been reported that a message on social media is being shared in the name of LIC.
In this, the policy holders are being asked to link their policy to Aadhaar number. For this, being asked to SMS a number to link the insurance policy with the Aadhaar Card.
The company said in the notice that no such message has been issued from our side. The company also made it clear that no facility is available for linking Aadhaar Card with the insurance policy through the message.
So, if you also have a message that asks you to link the insurance policy by sending an SMS to a number, do not ever say so. It may be through someone stealing your sensitive information and you get cheated.
