If you want to take a mobile number, then we will tell you. Now you will not get any number without Aadhar Card. Now whatever you need a prepaid number or a postpaid base number for all. According to a TV channel report, the Department of Telecommunications has issued notices to telecom operators.
It has been stated in this notice that all the numbers of the country will have to be re-evaluated through the e-KYC process. Whatever number will not be verified or linked to the Aadhar Card, then it will be unlawful in India and closed after 6th of February 2018.
The Supreme Court had said that will soon begin verification of prepaid mobile numbers in the country. Only if the consumer is found correct, the number will be allowed to continue.
At present, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi told the court that there is no problem in identifying post-paid mobile users. But more than 90 percent of the numbers are prepaid.
The court also said that people have enough time to prove their identity. The government should try that the entire process is completed within a year.
