In the fourth quarter of the year 2017, the sales of iPhone X in the premium smartphone segment in India were 21 percent, while the OnePlus 5T smartphones were 17 percent and the Samsung Galaxy Note is at number three with 8 percent sales.
In other words, Apple’s dominance in the premium phone segment. On the other hand, this figure was 93% of all three companies together a year ago. Sales of iPhone X and iPhone 7 have kept Apple in the top in the premium segment. In the fourth quarter, Apple’s market share went up to 47%, which was up 38% for the entire year. That is, the iPhone X kept the company in the market.
OnePlus was the fastest growing brand in the year 2017. In the fourth quarter, its growth was 343% and market share was 25%. That figure did not increase beyond 19 percent in the whole year.
After the Oneplus, Samsung is at number three. Samsung has given the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy Note 8 a great result, but these two phones have been hit hard with the iPhone 7 and iPhone X.
