Market research firm said, more than 500 million feature phones are still sold every year in the world. This is a big market, which has a large section of customers. Those customers, who still prefer to purchase feature phones instead of smartphones. India alone has 43 percent of the feature phone market in its hands. This figure is for the first quarter of this year.
The research firm further said some users prefer simple phones instead of digital or other reasons. They do not want to spend much money on phones and data. The feature phone is meeting the demand of such people. Feature phones have immense potentials in the mobile industry, which are yet to be used.
