According to information received from the company, a total of 1.46 lakh cars were sold in the month of October, of which 1.36 lakh cars were sold only in India, while 10,446 cars were exported to other countries. This figure is more than 13,000 units compared to October 2016, in October 2016, the company sold 1,33,793 cars.
Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, and Dzire played an important role in increasing the company’s growth, their annual sales grew 24.7 percent. The company sold a total of 62,480 units in October 2017, compared to just 50,116 units in October last year. In the utility segment, Ertiga, S-Cross and Vitara Brezza also received the good response, their sales increased by 29.8 percent.
According to the company, a total of 23,382 utility vehicles were sold in October 2017, while in October 2016 it was 18,008 cars. Omni and Eco sales have disappointed, this time the company sold 12,669 units, while last October sales were 12,790 units.
Sales of second-entry level cars, including Alto and Wagon-R, declined by 4.2 percent. In October 2017, the company sold 32,490 units, compared to 33,929 units in October last year.
