Mukesh Ambani’s company Reliance Industries has entered into a joint venture with UK company BP to lay a network of petrol pumps across the country. Under this, both the companies will do business of petrol pumps and air fuel. The two companies will together open 5,500 petrol pumps. This two companies have been doing business together since 2011.
India will have the highest fuel demand in the next 20 years. The two companies together have set a target to increase the number of petrol pumps in the country from 1400 to 5500 in the next 5 years. Reliance has also included Air Fuel business in this. At present, the company is providing facilities at 30 airports in the country. The agreement was signed by Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries and Bob Doodle, group chief executive of BP.
