Xiaomi Redmi S2 smartphone has knocked in China last week. Now, the talk of India’s arrival on June 7. It is also being said that the phone is coming to India from the name Redmi S2, named Redmi Y2. Xiaomi has begun teasing the new Redmi handset on social media channels. However, more information than teasers has not been revealed. But as before, it is said that it will be Xiaomi’s ‘Best Selfie Smartphone’. Keep in mind, AI features have been provided in Redmi S2. Redmi S2 will compete with India’s Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Honor 9 Light.
The official teaser video has been posted on Monday from the Twitter handle of Redmi India. It is mentioned in New Delhi on the event to be held on June 7. The company has also used hashtags such as #FindYourSelfie and #RealYou. Also, the Y letter has been placed in the teaser. This indicates that the company can take it as an upgrade of Redmi Y1, which was launched in November last year. Redmi Y1 is also equipped with selfie centric features. Instead of the new model, the company can name it Redmi Y2.

Xiaomi Redmi S2 has a 5.99-inch HD + (720×1440 pixels) display. Its aspect ratio is 18: 9. It comes with 269 pixels per inch density. The company has used the trusted snapdragon 625 processor. Adreno 506 GPU for graphics is integrated. As we have told you earlier, this handset will have two variants based on RAM and storage. One has 32 GB inbuilt storage with 3 GB RAM, 64 GB storage with 4 GB of RAM. Both variants will support MicroSD card up to 256 GB. The good thing is that the company has given different slots for two SIM cards and MicroSD cards in the Redmi S2.

Xiaomi starts the price of 999 Chinese Yuan (about 10,500 rupees) for selfie centric handset Redmi S2. There will be a variant of 3 GB RAM in this price. Price of 4 GB RAM variants is 1299 Chinese Yuan (about 13,700 rupees). The sale of this handset will start in the domestic market from May 17.
