The much-anticipated Galaxy Note 8 is here. Samsung launched its brand new edition of the note series yesterday in New York. This is Samsung’s first smartphone to come with a dual lens camera. The Galaxy Note 8 will be the direct competitor to Apple iPhone 7 Plus which was launched at Rs 92,000 in India last year. Next iPhone release Apple is few weeks away from today. Also, we must not forget that many Note 7 users are still recovering from their memories of battery explosions and implications faced by them to carry the phone in Planes.
The Note 8 comes out of the box with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It has a 6.3-inch quad HD+ Infinity display with bezel design similar to that of the Galaxy S8+. Note 8 houses Snapdragon 835 processor, 64GB of storage, and 6GB of RAM. Samsung has ensured crystal clear photos are coming right out of Note 8, thanks to the dual 12-megapixel cameras on the back and 8MP front. Note 8 contains 3,300mAh battery with wireless charging support and Qualcomm 2.0 fast charging capability. This time Samsung has taken security options very seriously, as a result of it can have the fingerprint scanner, iris scanner and facial recognition in Note 8. One must hope that Note 8’s battery does not explode and users landing up with recall notice from Samsung.
Digital Assistant Bixby comes by default with Samsung’s Note 8. It can also be operated through a dedicated physical button. Samsung announced earlier this week that Bixby is now available in more than 200 countries.
The Note 8 is more than a phone you could have on your hands. Also, the existing Samsung Gear VR headset is compatible only with Galaxy S8, but the company has promised to offer an updated version for Note 8. Samsung has a bunch of new accessories which can be used with Galaxy Note 8.
The Galaxy Note 8 is available for pre-order. You can grab your hands on it by registering yourself at
