However, the public transport can be electricized by 2030 only between different cities. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has handed over white letters to the government on the electric vehicle market.
SIAM has stated in his white paper that their goal is that by 2030, 40 percent of the new vehicles sold in the country are completely electric.
The organization has taken this step at a time when the government wants that by 2030, public mobility in the country is fully operational. At the same time, 40 percent of individual mobility vehicles are aimed at electric vehicles.
Siam president Abhay Ferodia said that to ensure the implementation of this approach, the government and various partners will have to work together with 100 percent commitment and invest in it.
He said that to move towards complete electric vehicles, we will have to work on engine upgrades in the next decade. According to the White Paper of SIAM, there is a need to create a strong market and manufacturing scenario for electric vehicles in India and the policy should be persisted in the coming time so that the industry can invest in full confidence.
