Maruti Suzuki’s much awaited new car Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is set to be launched on September 30. A lot of details of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso have been revealed before launching. Now the details of its variants and features have been revealed in the new leaked report. SUV-inspired Maruti compact car will come in 4 variants (STD, LXi, VXi and VXi +). There will be many features in the top variant.
Talking about the top variant VXi +, it includes front passenger airbags, 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with voice recognition, steering mounted controls, rear parcel tray, out side rear view mirror and door handles in body color and 12V. Features like accessory socket will be available. However, there will be no option of alloy wheels in this car. It is believed that the company has done this to keep the price down.
According to leaked reports, all variants of the Maruti Suzuki S-Preso will get standard features like driver side airbags, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, digital speedometer and speed alert system. The LXi variant will get AC and power steering. At the same time, the VXi will get key-entry with central locking, Maruti’s SmartPlay dock audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, front power windows, bumpers in body color and wheel covers.
Maruti Suzuki S-Preso will get a 1.0-liter K10B petrol engine, which will be in line with BS6 emission norms. In BS4 variant, this engine generates 68hp power and 90Nm torque. It is expected that its power output will remain the same even in the BS6 variant. It will have 5-speed manual and automated manual transmission (AMT) options.
This new car from Maruti Suzuki will compete with Renault’s Kwid. Its price information has not been revealed yet. However, there is a possibility that the S-Preso may fall between Rs 3.3-4.5 lakh.
