Toyota is soon going to bring Toyota Yaris Sedan to India, but its variants and feature related information have already leaked even before the launch. It is being speculated that Toyota Yaris will be launched on May 18, 2018. According to cardekho.com, its booking has started, it can be booked for 50,000 rupees. Engine
Toyota had briefly informed that Yaris Sedan would come with a petrol engine. There will be a 1.5 liter petrol engine, its power can be 108 PS and torque 140 nm. The engine will have the option of 6-speed manual and 7-speed CVT gearbox. The option of the CVT gearbox will be available from the base variant. Pedal shifts will also come in top variants VX.
Safety
Toyota Yaris will be the only car in the segment, in which seven airbag standards will be available. To strengthen passenger safety, in all its variants, there will be seven airbags in addition to anti-lock braking system (ABS), EBD, break assistant and engine immobilizer. Top variants VX will also feature front-rear parking sensors, parking camera, all disc brakes, vehicle stability control, hill start assist control and tire pressure monitoring system.
Price
The price of Toyota Yaris can be between 9 lakh and 14 lakh rupees (ex-showroom, Delhi). This will be the most expensive car in the segment. In comparison, Honda City top variant ZX CVT costs Rs 13.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
